About Michael
I became a therapist because people matter to me. Genuinely. I love hearing someone’s story — the full version, not the edited one — and I take real satisfaction in watching someone find their footing again. I have seen first-hand how hard life can be without the right support, and I believe strongly that no one should have to go through it alone.
What you might notice working with me is that I am both warm and direct. I will not just nod along. I will listen closely, challenge you when it serves you, and meet you where you are — every single session. My approach is empowerment-based and person-centered, which means the work we do is built around you, your strengths, and your goals. I draw on evidence-based approaches including CBT, Trauma-Focused CBT (TF-CBT), and Exposure Therapy — tailored to what you actually need.
“My job is to help you access your own strength. That strength can help you feel empowered, uplifted, and self-rewarding — and what you build here, you keep forever.”
I work with survivors of trauma, people navigating life transitions, couples and individuals working through relationship challenges, men looking for a space to actually be heard, and many others. Your full story matters here — not just the hard parts.
Outside the office — you’ll find me on a bike trail or the golf course, spending time outdoors with my dog, or working through a puzzle or board game. I believe a well-rounded life makes for a better therapist.
